In preparation for our reading activity next meeting (on the beautiful literary

language of the Renaissance period), we shall be tackling the poetic tone used by
English translators when they produced the King James Bible (which is still highly
regarded for the majestic words in the messages being communicated from the
heavens).

INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Read the following chapters in three separate books within the Bible:
a)Ecclesiastes; Chapter 1, Verses 1 10
b)Song of Solomon; Chapter 2, Verses 1 13
c)1st Corinthians; Chapter 13, Verses 1 13

2. Read, internalize, then copy these three chapters. Handwritten nicely on short
bond.

3. Bring to class next meeting for our oral reading activity.

4. Use the King James Version only. Those who will rely on other versions can be
easily detected because of the classic tones of the English language that is unique
to the King James version alone.

5. To be used on April 4 (for submission as well)
