Abstract
Bladder trauma is a surgical emergency that requires immediate management. It can
cause complications such as peritonitis and sepsis. Brosman reported that of 72% of
patients who had trauma buli buli associated with the occurrence of pelvic bone
fracture. Based on research by Cass it was found that 94% of trauma incident was also
accompanied by other organ injury, with mortality rate reached 20%. Bladder trauma
due to blunt trauma is closely related to pelvic fractures of 83-100%.
CT scan cystography is the most accurate examination in diagnosing bladder trauma.
Generally, Intraperitoneal bladder trauma is treated with operative whereas
extraperitoneal handling is done conservatively. The number of trauma cases in Dr
Wahidin Sudirohusodo, during 2012 to 2016 is 14 cases, on average 2-3 cases per year,
with male and female ratio of 3: 1, found most in 31- 45 years ie 37.7% (there are 5
cases), with the most frequent main complaint of abdominal pain and hematuri. The
most frequent trauma mechanisms were traffic accidents in nine cases (64.2%) with the
most associated abnormalities of pelvic fractures (28.5%). The most common type of
action performed in RSUP Dr Wahidin Sudirohusodo in trauma case of bladder is
laparotomi repair bladder that is equal to 71,4% (10 cases).
