INTRODUCTION

This is a brief outline of quality system to be implemented. It contains a work methodology and
procedure, which is applicable with the specific work. This manual also provides an appropriate
reference to all procurement, fabrication and construction activities and identifies quality related matter.

PURPOSE
This Method Statement is designed to give guidance for the Installation of Aluminium Cladding
constructions.

CONDITION
To install the Installation of Aluminium Cladding meeting all requirements for the overall activities
delivering good workmanship and up to the level acceptable standard.

WORK PROCEDURE

Piping
1. Cut the aluminum sheet along its width to suit the pipe circumference with provision of 50mm
over lap.
2. Roll the sheet on roller to form cylindrical shape.
3. Groove both the ends to facilitate tight fit & overlapping.
4. Slide the preformed aluminum cladding over the insulated pipe.
5. Repeat the procedure until it covers all the pipes.
6. Rivet the joints making sure an over lap of 50mm between two cladding.
7. Seal the joints with clear sealant.
8. Valves are provided with a custom made aluminum box with hinges and snap clips to suit the
size of the valve.
9. Proper miters are provided while cladding pipe fittings.
10. Make sure not to position the longitudinal joints of the cladding on the top side of externally
cladded pipes.

Duct work
1. Cut two pieces of aluminium sheets each to suit the external dimensions of two sides of the
insulated duct.
2. Groove the longitudinal seams of both the pieces to facilitate tight fit and overlapping.
3. Bend each of the sheet with a bending machine to suit the profile of two sides of the duct.
4. Slide the performed cladding over the duct and making sure to properly fix the grooves of both
the pieces onto one another, rivet the joints.
5. Make sure have an overlap of 50mm on the adjacent section of cladding and rivet the butt joints
too.
6. Seal the joints with clear sealant.
7. Make sure not to position the longitudinal joints of the cladding on the top side of externally
cladded ducts.

SAFETY

1) All installation work will be undertaken in accordance with TGEM safety plan.

2) All site personnel shall be provided with the necessary personal protective measures such as
head gear, safety boots, safety belts & goggles and shall be worn on site.

3) All site work activities will be kept in a clean and tidy condition.

HOUSE KEEPING
After completion of installation works, the area involved will be clear and clean form excess of
materials.
