dirty little secret they too often share only among
themselves: The death penalty actually hinders the
fight against crime.
I believe that the majority of criminals fear death.
The threat of the death penalty prevents them
from killing.

accepting capital punishment in principle means
accepting it in practice, whether by the hand of a
physician or anyone else.
I strongly believed, if one finds the practice too
brutal, one must either reject it in principle or
seek to mitigate its brutality.

According to John McAdams, an American
Associate Professor Department of Political
Science, if fail to execute murderers and doing so
would in fact have deterred other murders, we
have allowed the killing of a bunch of innocent
victims.
Therefore, I believe it is not right for citizens to
pay the government to keep the criminals alive.
Contentions Ultimate Warning
According to Dudley Sharp, a Director of Death
Penalty Resources at Justice for All, if the criminal
knows that the justice system will not stop at putting
him to death, then the system appears more
draconian to him. Hence, he is less inclined to break
and enter.
I opines that in a larger sense, capital punishment
is the ultimate warning against all crimes.

Retribution
According to Raymond A. Schroth, SJ who is a
Jesuit Priest and Professor of Humanities at St.
Pete’s College, retribution in capital punishment
simply means revenge. By taking someone’s life
because he or she killed a person is like continuing
the cycle. It will infiltrate more hate. Executing
death penalty will not (produce) love and
understanding that is needed in human.

No Chance to
Make Amendments
According to Dalai Lama, a Tibetan Head of State
and Buddhist spiritual leader, everyone has his or
her own chance to improve and correct
themselves. Without death penalty, there will be
room for improvement for the criminals.
From what Dalai Lama state, we should always give
people chance to redeem themselves.

Mistakes
Based on Russ Feingold, JD who was a US
Senator, approximately 87 people were freed from
the death row which is the same as 1 out of 7
innocent people were executed. He said, several
people have the impression that some innocent
people should be sacrifice in order to execute the
ones who were found guilty. This kind of thinking is
not civilized as every single life is valuable.
Therefore, we have to value people’s lives.
Objections Does Not Deter Crime
Effectively
According to ACLU, The American Civil Liberties
Union, there is no clear evidence to show that
death penalty can deter crime. States that apply
death penalty do not have lower crime rates than
state which do not have and state that change to
death penalty also do not have significant
changes.
Thus, even without death penalty, there will still have
criminal’s activities.
