AIM
 This assignment will help to test student skills and knowledge of practical
performance of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Power Point.
 To provide students to get further knowledge on different areas of Information
Technology.
 To manage task within the group and use collaborating tools to share the data
among the members.
 To provide students an opportunity to gain presentation skills.

GUIDANCE
 This is a Group assignment.
 Group members and topics are assigned by the lecturer.
 Consult your tutor if you are uncertain about any aspects of the assignment
 You must ensure that you have the right to use any resources that you include in
your report. If you are unsure about copyright implications of any resource, you
must consult your tutor.

TASK 1(REPORT) – 30 MARKS


Students are required to write a report based on assigned topic by the lecturer. The topics
are;

 Antivirus
 Computer Network
 Computer hardware
 Operating Systems
 Cloud Computing
 Computer Software and Application

GUIDE LINE FOR THE REPORT


1. You are required to submit a report based on assigned topic.
2. You should submit softcopy of the assignment with all the relevant codes. Students
are unable to provide any portion/ partial of the coding will be considered as Zero.

3. Your assignment must be typed using Microsoft Word with Times New Roman

font and size 12. Line spacing should be 1.5.

4. The assignment has to be well presented and should be word- processed.
5. Submission of reports that are unprofessional in its outlook (dirty, disorganized,
inconsistent look and size) will not fair well when marks are allocated.
6. The report should have a one (1”) margin all around the page
7. Your report should be in the below format;
a. Cover page
b. Content page
c. Introduction
d. History
e. Comparison
f. Feature/ Advancement
g. Advantages and disadvantages
h. Future
i. Conclusion
j. Reference

Marks will be allocated based on;

1. Design of the cover page and the way information presented.


2. Formatting and layout of the report
3. The relevance of the information and topic.

TASK 2(PRODUCE THE PRESENTATION) – 10 MARKS


You are asked to convert the Assignment Report you have submitted into a PowerPoint
Presentation using Microsoft PowerPoint. Presentation should contain no more than 10
slides excluding the Title slide.
This presentation should contain the following properties
 Title slide
 Heading(s)
 Subheading(s)
 Bullet points
 Animation effects
 Theme

TASK 3(DELIVER THE PRESENTATION) – 10 MARKS


10 Marks of this Task is divided into two:

a. Delivery of presentation: 8 Marks


b. Q&A: 2 Marks

 Deliver the presentation to your lecturer on the scheduled data.

 Each group will be given 10 minutes time for the presentation. Failure of doing so
will result 2 marks deduction.
 Divide the presentation among all the students of the group and each student has
to deliver the part allocated. Failure of participation of the presentation, student
will lose 8 Marks allocated.
 At the end of the presentation each group will be asked a question from the
Assignment Report. Two marks are allocated for the correct answer.

SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS
You are required to submit a soft and hard copy of assignment (Report and Presentation).

If a group fails to deliver the presentation on the scheduled date, you may contact your
lecturer and submit a soft copy within 24 hours of presentation scheduled time.

However, failure of delivering the presentation will result loss of 10 Marks allocated for
the Task 3 of this assignment.
