I was also her instructor for several undergraduate courses during this period. This recommendation is based on my extensive experience with Ms. Charles. Sara has developed her skills and is an excellent teacher. Ms. Charles is particularly strong in classroom management and runs an effective learning environment. Many of her strategies have become so automatic that she creates a very respectful and comfortable atmosphere. Coupled with these organizational strategies is Sara's comfortable rapport with students. | have observed how her third-grade students connect with her and follow her directions easily. | also appreciated how appropriate Sara was in her approach to teaching 8/9 year-olds. There is always an atmosphere of mutual respect. Sara is a hard worker. Throughout our year of interaction, Sara has never falled to complete requirements that | have given her. She is very reflective and asks very solid questions to analyze every situation and works way beyond her scheduled work time to be prepared.
