Task:
To demonstrate your research skills and your use of historical significance and evidence, you will be creating a digital
museum display to highlight the achievements and contributions of a significant individual from the Renaissance
period.
Task Breakdown:
Your museum display using Google Sites will contain several components. Each one should be represented by a
different tab or page.
Task Task Requirements
Task 2: Historical ❏ Using two credible secondary sources, write a 100 word summary to give historical context about the Renaissance
Context period. You must introduce the concept of a “Renaissance Person” and establish the criteria (4-5) for the characteristics
of a “Renaissance Person”. This should just include the facts. No judgements. Include citations where needed.
Task 3: Biography of ❏ Using two credible secondary sources, write a 150 -200 word biography about your chosen “Renaissance Person”. You

Task 5: Historical ❏ Using the 4 Rs of historical significance, explain why your “Renaissance Person” is historically significant. Each
Significance response should be supported by research. Facts and example must be included in justification. This response should
be broken up into 4 parts and be approx 250 words. Include citation where needed.
❏ Remarkable: Was was noticed at the time as having importance? Is there something extraordinary about the
person?
❏ Resulted in Change: Did their contributions have deep consequences (positive or negative)--immediate
and/or long term--for many people?
❏ Revealing: How are they symbolic or representative of this period in history? How are they relevant to the
narrative of this period?
❏ Relevant/Resonate Today: How have they contributed to an understanding of issues in the present day? OR
What is the person’s legacy?
