Poison Gas
Poison gas is composed of xylyl or
other substances which is placed in
shells and could be fired at opposing
forces. This method made it possible
to kill and torture thousands at once.
The Germans revolutionized the use
of poison gas.
Zeppelins
Zeppelins were the first use of large
scale aerial weapons such as
incendiary bombs and grenades.
The German used this form of
weaponry the most and especially
on the UK. Zeppelins revolutionized
war at the time by causing
psychological trauma to targeted
civilians rather than just members of
the forces. They were also
considered the beginning of modern
warfare
Automatic Machine Gun
The automatic machine gun was
positioned on a stand and could fire
400-600 rounds per minute. It
revolutionized the war by providing a
fast and effective way of killing and
there was no protection against it.
The Germans utilized this modern
invention the most.
Convoys
Convoys were created after the success
of U-Boats as a system to protect the
boats when transporting people and
supplies. This helped Britain and America
protect their supplies from the Germans
who had been drowning almost every
troop they encountered up until the
development of the convoys.
U-Boats
U-boats, mainly used by Germans, was
introduced for submarine warfare. U-
Boats were detrimental to shipments
made by the opponents of the
Germans. These boats could destroy
entire ships with its power in
torpedoes. This changed warfare at the
time because it was the most powerful
tool of the water and other nations had
nothing that compared.
Airplanes
Airplanes were introduced by the
Allies and completely revolutionized
modern warfare. Use of Airplanes
brought attacks from the air and
much more. Airplanes could be used
to drop bombs and makes surprise
attacks.
