book cover with the following requirements. Your cover will be created in Fireworks and each component of your cover must be planned in a separate layer. Your canvas dimensions should be adjusted to inches and set to 8.5” by 11”. The Resolution will be 150 dpi (dots per inch). Things to include on your cover: Title Action image with your face on it A good quality background image that has been resized to fit your page Issue number, issue date, price Bar Code Word balloon dialogue! Creativity!! Creating an attractive comic book cover is necessary to draw people into your comics and capture their interest. The best design for your cover art will incorporate elements of composition, psychology, and technique. You'll need the artwork to be clean, balanced, true to the content of your story, and also alluring. Choose what you want your comic book to be about Plan a "hook" for your cover. This can be either in the images on your cover or in the title itself. In either case, you'll want readers to be interested in buying your comic book, and a time-tested technique for catching readers' attention is to include a cover image that ignites interest or sparks questions. For example, a picture of your hero in a difficult situation might make potential readers think, "How does he get out of that?" To answer the questions, they'll have to buy your book![6] Choose what you want it to look like Draw a rough draft Show me Go ahead and start creating, using graphics, saving photos, text etc. you are using. Decide upon a fitting title. You'll want a title that both catches eyes and faithfully conveys an important aspect of the story of your comic. You might choose a title that reflects the main action of your comic, you might decide upon a title that hints at deeper conflict or emotional turmoil, or your title might be suited for a clever pun. [7] Link your title with the cover art. A title that doesn't seem connected to the images surrounding it can leave potential readers unsure if your book is one they are interested in buying. The title and artwork should work together to summarize the subject matter of your book. As an example, a comic titled "Fighter" should probably have some kind of fighting sequence depicted on its cover. ************************************************************************************* TODAY: MARCH 29st, 2018 (QUALITY CHECK AND WORK-PERIOD) -Adding Text and speech bubbles- affects -Show the tool bar, sizing, different wands- sub-selection tool, pointer tool, pen tool- make more points to change the shape of the ellipse, ellipse tool etc. -Editing your face onto the superhero, changing the shape, scaling and sizing -Editing lines, blurring etc. -Title- Effects -Barcode- Rectangle- border- make lines- GROUP -Checklist- Needs to be completely filled out before moving onto the next assignment. -Start next assignment- Tell students that if they are done, and have handed in their comic book into the correct folder, then they can look ahead to the next PowerPoint assignment.
