(01) DESCRIPTION

Design, Supply, Erection and commissioning of CNC LATHE MACHINE.

(02) QUANTITY:- 01 No.


(03) DUTY CONDICTIONS:- 1] Machine is meant for Trade apprentices Training Purpose.
2] The machine should be designed to Performa variety of operations such as straight
and taper turning, boring circular interpolated countering internal and external
threading on medium sized alloy steels, forging, castings and non-ferrous alloys.
3] The basic machine should be controlled by a computer numerical control system.

3.1 Capacity:- Maximum Turning Dia 450mm

(04) MATERIAL OF CONSTRUCTION:-

1] The construction of machine should be rigid, single pieces flat bed made out of high grade
cast iron for heavier cuts and faster production. With virtually no vibration means higher
surface finish even on hard material.

(05) DRAWING AND DIMENSIONS:-

The firm shall provide I) General arrangement Drawing

II) Foundation plan Drawing for Erection of C.N.C Lathe M/C.

The firm shall prepare the drawing and get the same approved before erection of machine.

For this purpose firm’s engineer shall make a visit to ammunition factory Khadki Pune

(All electrical motors should be energy efficient with ‘EFF1’lableing and ‘TEFC’energy saver
equipment where ever necessary may be included.)

(7) SCOPE OF WORK:-

Design, fabrication, assembly and supply of CNC LATHE machine with accessories as per
drawing /specification no HRD SPECIFICATION NO 02 /CNC LATHE /RR 12/13.

(08) INSPECTION :-

(a) PRE-DIPATCH INSPECTION:-At firm’s premises as per A.F.K specification. The


machine can be inspected and tested at manufacturers premises before dispatch as
per technical specification.
(b) JOINT RECIEPT INSPECTION:-At AFK after receipt of machine by supplier’s
representative and AFK representative before erection.
(c) FINAL INSPECTION (AT AFK):- The final inspection will be carried out at AFK Pune
after erection and commissioning and successful trial run of machine as per
technical specification.

(09) ERECTION AND COMMISSIONING:-

(i) The firm shall provide detailed foundation drawing and general Arrangement
drawing will in advance before commencement of erection.
(ii) The firm shall dismantle the existing machine and shifts the same to scrap yard
at a distance approximately 1 Km within the factory premises itself.
(iii) The firm shall arrange all necessary tools, tackles consumable, welding m/c,
chain pulley blocks necessary labour force, technical personal for carrying out
the erection,aligment and commissioning of the new machine adhering all safety
and security norms prevailing at Ammunition Factory Khadki,pune..
(iv) Civil works pertaining to the erection and commissioning of the machine is to be
carried out by the supplier
(v) Supplier should be arranging suitable electric cable /wiring required for the
machine form panel board to machine. All cables to be neatly laid in cable trays.
(10) TRAINING: - The firm should impart suitable training to AFK personnel for
production, maintenance of the machine for 04 persons for 15 days during erection,
commissioning at AFK.

(11) SPARES:- As per user requirement.

(12) SERVICES:-Any other specific service required will have to be included in the
scope of supply.
(13) MRLS FOR 02 YEARS & MANNUALS:- Page 05

(i) The supplier has to include manufacturer recommended list of spares and cost
thereof for 2 years successful running of machine in their quotation. However
the same will not be considered for finalization of order.
(ii) The supplier shall given addresses of the firm whom brought out spares has been
arranged.
(iii) The supplier shall agree to provide service support during the life of the
machine.
(iv) The supplier shall provide sets of operation and maintenance of machine in
English and one set of compact disc in PDF format.
(v) The supplier shall provide 2 sets of preventive maintenance of machine in
English duly laminated on cardboard so that same can be hanged near the
machine.

(14) GUARANTEE/WARRANTY:-

Supplier should give guarantee for the satisfactory performance of the machine for a
period of 12 months from the date of successful commissioning..

(15) SITE VIST:-

The firm should visit the site at ammunition Factory Khadki, pune to ascertain the
scope of work and functional requirement before submitting the quotation.
