Rationale: This app is an English Language Learner app that is great for student who are new to
learning English. This app is great for student in primary grade students who are beginning to
learn the English The app offers 18 free lessons across all skill levels, and the following
upgrades are available via in-app purchase: Level 1 (Beginners), Level 2 (Intermediate), and
Level 3 (Advanced Lessons). Students can use this app via IPad, IPhone, or tablet. BrainPOP
ELL engages students in short movies that get them to interact with conversational English. In
these levels, there are vocabulary lessons, flash card words and students can record their voice
speaking a phrase and the app to help understanding. It is very user friendly and engaging for
students learning English and can be used in an ELL classroom or even at home with their
parents.

class and make a quiz. Students can download the app and search for a quiz made by their
teacher. Students can even make their own study sets. They just have to open their teacher’s
study set and choose what game they want to play. They can take a test, opt for the learn mode,
learn by flashcards or match terms with their definitions. Quizlet Live lets students work together
in order to find the right word or definition to the description. It’s made for practicing terms and
definitions. It can also be used in English by asking questions about and having answers on the
back of them. This can help and be a great study tool as well with future tests.

dance while they are listening to the hip hop songs).

Rationale: Flocabulary uses music and storytelling to engage kids and teens. This app helps kids
expand their vocabularies and learn about school subjects in a fun and exciting way. Educational
Hip-Hop for K-12 is a video app that uses rhyme and rhythm to help kids learn many school
subjects, life skills, and vocabulary. There are videos for kids age 5 to teens, and parents can set
the grade level to limit video choices to those that are appropriate for their kid's age. After
choosing and viewing a brief video, kids can take a Challenge quiz, learn vocabulary definitions,
and read the full lyrics for each of the more than 800 videos.
