Harun and Othman are two accounting majors who are trying to figure out how the subject
Organization Behavior can be relevent to the career objectives. They believe that their time should
be better spent taking more subjects in accounting. As their friend, explaine to them how
Organization Behavior can help them in managing people when they are working later on.
Behaviour is a form of action that includes habits , attitudes, behaviours , attitudes , or behaviour of an
individual. It explains how a person acts . Organization , we can define as a group or body which is
made up of individuals who work together in fulfilling its mission , vision and goals to be achieved.
Organizational behaviour can be defined as an area or field of learning about one's thoughts , feelings
and actions , and how the character of the person in an organization . There are three levels of
analysis in organizational behaviour , namely , the level of the individual, the group and the
organization
Behaviours or behaviour of an individual cannot be predicted. This is because the behavior and
individual behaviour in an organization is not the same and cannot be traced and known without
extensive research . This is because , every person has an attitude , temperament and unique way to
stand out and showcase themselves . Moreover, the behaviour cannot be expected because of the
behaviour of a person is caused by external influence external forces . Example of a working
environment that requires a high commitment in implementing the task. This we can see where when
one is working in a situation demanding that he be required to achieve the organizational goals . For
example , the Principal of a school has a high responsibility to ensure the success of the students in
a school goal . However , if he was not given appropriate incentives and commensurate with the job,
the manager certainly make his work with complacency and emphasize the importance and the
quality and productivity of their students because of the quality of his work was not appreciated by the
leader. Therefore , the level of school performance declined and adversely affected.
In addition, the attitude and style of each employee is difficult to predict. We can see where some
people have their own behaviour in the perform of its duties . For example , there are some
employees who like to complete the work on " dateline " determined by their employer. However ,
there are some employees who suspend their work until sometimes cause confusion at the last
minute . So , we cannot expect the behaviour of a person in his personality.
In addition, learning also influenced the character and behaviour of one of the four corners that can be
associated with " MARS " the " motivation , ability , role perception , situational factor . " MARS " is a
basic model that studies the behaviour of an individual and the results of the study. Learning occurs
when the human relationship with the environment influence to change attitudes and behaviour. This
occurs because we learn to use our senses and learning a lot using research and experience . Thus,
the behaviour of a person is difficult to predict because it changes from time to semasa.Ini because
we cannot expect the level of experience and knowledge that influence an individual 's emotional and
action . For example , the capability and value of the individual depends on how one is able to control
the emotional stress he faced .
The behaviour of a person is also closely associated with individu.Ini emotions because emotions
affect the behaviour of individuals who are unable to predict because as emotional a person is
changed according to the " mood " at the time . Thus, all actions are also changed by different
situations and times where we cannot expect an individual 's behaviour without research and
observation specific. Example, someone who is angry cannot control his emotions in a professional
manner because sometimes his action takes place out of control and reflex actions of individuals will
act outside control. This situation we can clearly see where one teacher who taught at the school
easily visualize the behaviour when the teacher is stressed by their students . And with this , the
teacher will easily irritated and angry as happened in Perak last month . A person who is in a state of
positive mental and emotional typically view and make a positive impression on employment and
environment as well otherwise. From this situation , we can see that the behaviour of the individual
are difficult to predict because of the emotional factor is causing the teacher angry with child students
because emotions are difficult to control without the specific strength and self- punishing their
students with a fine unreasonable .
In teamwork , here we can also see how the behaviour of an individual cannot be predicted again.
This is because the behaviour of co-workers are able to influence other members . For example , in
an organization , strategic planning and annual work targets to be provided to enable them to function
normally and to reach the target . And this requires the cooperation of all parties in decision-making .
During discussions or meetings , when a chief or " leaders " have decided as a result of the
discussions. However, there are members of the meeting to express their viewpoints other , indirectly
, the results of which will be made by the head of the last bit of influence by colleagues . Thus, the
behaviour or the behaviours of a leader 's actions also influence the final decision .
In an organization as large and complex , the role of a manager or leader is a big responsibility.
Manager can be defined as a person supervising or more of an individual or a subordinate. A
manager of the caliber and has the characteristics of a leader with integrity should have extensive
knowledge and expertise in his career in addition to knowing a little of the knowledge of the behavior
of the organization. This is because a manager's knowledge in organizational behaviour is important
in that it can assist managers in improving the quality of decision making, increase the chances of
success and minimize the risk that may arise in the planning and decision-making . Organizational
behaviour provides a lot of guidance on how coordinate employee to enable the employee to do the
job in earnest , and produce quality products and services and productive .
A wise manager in understanding the concept of organizational behaviour could create a more
harmonious work environment that is conducive to stimulate new ideas for more innovative and
creative . A manager's understanding of these concepts can improve the quality and productivity while
creating a harmonious environment to strengthen ethics in the workplace. A manager must ensure
that subordinates are given the opportunity and appropriate incentives in their work because it is an
understanding of ethics in organizational behaviour studies .
