The state structure
The Republic of Kazakhstan is a unitary state with presidential form of
government. Head of the state is the President Nursultan Nazarbayev
(since 1991).
The state authority in Kazakhstan is uniform and concludes
legislative power, realized by the Parliament, executive power realized
by the Government, which consist of central bodies (ministries and
departments) and local organs (akimats), judicial power realized by the
national courts (The Supreme court and local courts).
People are the only source of state power.
The fundamental principles of the Republic activity are public
concord and political stability, economic development for the benefit of
all people, patriotism and solution of the most important issues of state
by democratic methods including voting at the republican referendum
or in Parliament.
The state and private property is recognized and equally protected
in the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Georaphy, climate, environment

Kazakhstan is located in the Central Asia in the depth of Eurasian
continent. Its territory occupies 2724900 square kilometers. In the area
Kazakhstan takes the ninth place in the world, ceding to Russia, China,
USA, Argentina, Brazil, Canada, India and Australia; the second place on
the territory among the CIS countries. Territory of Kazakhstan is larger
than 12 countries of European Union.
Kazakhstan boards with: CNR – 1782 km, Kyrgyzstan – 1241 km,
Turkmenistan – 426 km, Uzbekistan – 2354 km, Russian Federation -
7591 km. The total length of overland the State border of the republic
– 13394 km.
