Re: 18CVS1416 and Article Entitled, "Class volunteers get sued by a fellow parent. Why
CMS says the district can't help."

CEASE AND DESIST DEMAND PURSUANT TO TITLE 17 OF THE UNITED STATES

CODE REGARDING COPYRIGHT INFRINGEMENT AND NC GS CHAPTER 99
REGARDING LIBEL AND SLANDER

The Charlotte Observer Publishing Company, The Greensboro News & Record, The McClatchy
Company, Tribune Content Agency, LLC, Trilogy Integrated Resources, WBTV, Charlotte
Mecklenburg Board of Education, its attorneys, Leesa Clardy and all affiliates explicitly
connected or implied and to whom all else it may concern:

It has come to my attention that you have:

1. Made unauthorized use of my copyrighted work, including but not limited to text, graphic
designs and images, housed at www.SecTigressRun.com and
www.QueenGethrpone.com , which gives conspicuous notice of such copyright
(hereinafter the "Work"); and

2. Published and other disseminated libelous, slanderous and otherwise altogether falsified
statements about me, my son, our civil action against Charlotte Mecklenburg Board of
Education et alii.

I have reserved all rights to the Work which was first published at my privately owned and
operated domain, www.SeeTigressRun.com and www.QueenGetlFrpone.com , which was first
published in 2010, and I have preserved my rights to the Work. I have not extended permission
to anyone or any entity addressed in this legal notice that would permit temporary or permanent
use of any such Work. In fact, I have given notice directly to Ann Doss Helms and other
Charlotte Observer journalists to refrain any use of such Work, and further to refrain from
making any statements, albeit libelous, slanderous, false or otherwise, regarding me or my son or
the civil complaint above stated.

Your articles contain and are republishing original content from my copyright protected Work:

1. Her campaign page addresses the question that "they say you
sue people all the time. What's up with that?" Her answer is that
she completed one year of law school and is an entrepreneur
who has filed suits against clients who owe her money.

The text published on my websites are copyrighted and protected from infringement. My
permission was not obtained to use direct quotes from my websites for the purpose of this article,
nor shall I extend such permission.

I demand that you immediately cease the use and distribution of infringing works derived from
my Work, and all copies of it, including electronic copies of the same, and that you desist from
this or any other infringement upon my rights of exclusivity and otherwise in the future.

Do not seek permission to use my Work. You are hereby given formal legal notice that based
upon your wanton use of my Works, you shall be denied indefinitely any opportunity to use any
of my Works. I have also communicated directly with Jim Morrill of the Charlotte Observer
refusing to sign any agreement giving any such permission.

Regarding the libel, slander and falsified statements in your articles, the following statements
you have published are directly libelous, slanderous and/or false or libelous and defamatory per
se:

McDaniel has filed more than 50 lawsuits in Mecklenburg, Guilford and

other North Carolina counties, against public bodies, lawyers, landlords
and others she has done business with. Court records show she has been
the subject of a "gt eier order" - a restriction that requires court
approval to file lawsuits in order to prevent abuse of the process - which
has been registered in numerous counties.
2. In 2006 McDaniel was convicted of identity fraud and obtaining
property under false pretenses based on incidents at two
Concord stores.
3. McDaniel did not return calls from the Observer seeking
comment on the suit against CMS.
4. She has run unsuccessfully for public office in Greensboro using
the nickname "Queen Get 'Er Done." Now McDaniel is seeking
office in Mecklenburg County.
5. On March 16 McDaniel filed a motion in federal court seeking to
have Judge Robert Conrad Jr., who has ruled against her in
other cases, recused from the CMS lawsuit.

Markedly, the statements you published that are purported by Leesa Clardy are sorely credible.
You have failed miserably to observe journalism standard and ethics. Clardy's purporting are
factually implausible, and entirely so. Very little research need be undertaken to confirm such.
Clardy's purporting, and assertedly knowingly malicious falsified statements shall be used
against her in a court of law for the complaint herein referenced and all other forms of remedy
and relief.

Charlotte Mecklenburg Board of Education and its attorneys have engaged unethical conduct
which exceeds the threshold of the reasonable appearance of bias, and such shall be used against
them in a court of law, Bar Association complaints, federal complaints and all other forms of
remedy and relief.

The article, which was originally published by The Charlotte Observer, has been markedly
reposted verbatim by other publishers herein detailed, most notably without any verification of
the content of such article.

The article is libelous because the motive of the article is unlikely intended to be favorable about
me and instead, even aside from the grossly falsified statements from Clardy and Helms, seeks to
expose me to public contempt, hatred, and ridicule by depicting Clardy as an innocent honorable
parent volunteer juxtapose the "mean contemptuous criminal parent and unsuccessful politician."
Such content exceeds the threshold of libel per se and general libel, defamation, slander, and
otherwise completely falsified statements intended to injure me, and moreover, my son. The
article fails to state that I did indeed respond to Helms' inquiries, and I refused to share any
information about the civil action with her or The Charlotte Observer, in the best interest and
protection of my son. My son remains enrolled at Eastover Elementary. Helms exhibits gross
negligence and complete disregard for my son's rights under 504 federal protections. Helms is
reasonably and alternatively fully aware of that her article and misrepresented and otherwise
false statements can expose even my son to public hatred, contempt, ridicule, peer bullying and
ostracism, and alternatively be perceived by the general public to depict me as an unfit parent.
Helms' misconduct and that of The Charlotte Observer and other publishers in promulgating the
furtherance of the libel, slander, and defamation in this article is egregiously deplorable and
unlawful.

I require the infringing information and material to be removed, and written notice given to me

pursuant to NC GS § 99-2 (a) and (b).

I also require that within 10 days after the service of this notice, pursuant to NC GS § 99-1, a
full and fair correction, apology and retraction be published in the same editions or
