objectives. Students will turn in their Beowulf newspapers. Interventions

Notes on Old English: Where English Came From? Students will be given a quiz to check to
see if they were paying attention. Teachers will review students on the writing process.

Students will be asked to choose and experience with impact (The assignment-students will
assisting.
write an autobiographical narrative about a significant incident in their lives. They are to use
pecific details to make the experience live for readers and clearly reveal its meaning. ) They are
going to brainstorm these events per the instructions on page 67 in their books. They will look
at Directives 1 and 2. Students will pair up and share what they have written and maybe assist
each other in getting started. First students are going to choose something that occurred in a
brief time period, from a few hours to a day. Then they are going to freewrite about what
happened in the incident. (basic events, names, peoples, places) (DOK 2, 3) Students will be
given a model on how to set the events of recall chronologically in a chart.

Application: Students will be given NEO’s to work on a write on lesson.

Continuation of last week’s lesson. Students will work on their mead houses in their assigned
groups.

Synthesis: Student will continue with draft at home. (Homework)
