Emily demonstrated solid lesson planning skills. She presented multiple lesson plans. Plans were aligned with the Virginia Beach
Objectives and with the Virginia's Standards of Learning. Her plans addressed differentiation with a focus on remediation. There was
evidence in the lesson plans of ongoing assessment. Emily will continue to grow in the area of articulating how she is differentiating
instruction to meet the needs of advanced learners as well as those who require remediation. She will consider differentiation in terms of
content, process, and product.

Emily provided sound instruction during my two observations. In each observation, she provided instruction to small-groups of students.
I did not observe Emily leading students using instructional technology. I rated her as proficient in this area, in part, due to her
cooperating teachers assessment of Emily use of technology. I hope to observe this for myself in the next placement. Emily is adept at
using a variety of instructional strategies to guide learning. Her cooperating teacher shared that Emily is adept at identifying deficits in
student academic performance where remediation may be warranted.

Emily provided evidence of ongoing documentation of progress for Language Arts and Math. She used resulting data to pull-out
for remediation to address deficits. The cooperating teacher expressed that Emily does this well.
