Personal Teaching Philosophy
I believe all students have the capacity and the ability to learn and succeed when there is
someone behind them who believes in them. My philosophy encompasses the idea that if
students have support and are able to believe in themselves, they will conquer and surpass all
obstacles they face. As a teacher, my goal is to facilitate an environment that enhances
interpersonal skills, positive attitudes, and student collaboration. Part of my role as the classroom
teacher is to ensure all students have equal access to education which means I must know them
on an individual level in order to understand their limits and meet their needs. After completing
my student teaching experience, my commitment and focus has transformed to providing a safe
environment for students to grow, understand their worth, and develop self-confidence. If
students do not feel comfortable or are not convinced that they are worth someone’s time and
consideration that will absolutely show in the quality of their work and education. My goal as a
teacher is not to solely teach content. I am determined to teach young people how to become
problem-solvers, productive members of society, compassionate leaders, unique spirits, and
humble intellectuals.
