flow to the downstream system. Excess loading pressure
bleeds downstream through the bleed restriction.

As shown in figure 4, the force of the spring tends to close


the valve disk. Therefore, if loading pressure is discontin-
ued, the regulator will stroke closed.

Installation
These regulators may be installed in any position. A remote
vent line may be required on some installations. All remote
vent openings, vent openings in the regulator, and vent
openings in the loading pressure regulator must be pro-
tected against the entrance of rain, snow, debris, or any
other foreign material that may plug the opening.

Direction of flow through the regulator body must be in the


direction indicated by the flow direction arrow found on the
regulator.
