 Utilized Authentic Intellectual Work (AIW) which focuses on student
construction of knowledge and content, theoretical understanding, and extensive
communication through student centered activities.
 Engaged and implemented lessons that followed Iowa Core Standards. Lesson
plans involved 21st Century skills and cooperative learning structures in Reading,
Writing, Language Arts, and Math for sixth graders.
 Implemented behavior management strategies to identify and improve on task
behaviors inside and outside of the classroom.
 Co-taught and modified lessons to fit the diverse needs of students within the

and 504 plans.
