Evaluation criteria
The course consists of six sections that describe the stages of the project.
Each stage contains one chapter of the simulation activity with a total of six
exercises to solve, which represent 70% of the final grade. At the end
of the course, you will find published the final exam. This will consist of a
series of exercises that cover the whole course and it represents 30% of
the final grade. To pass the course and receive a certificate you must
obtain a grade of at least 60%.

Yes you will. Our goal is that by the end of this course you will be able to take a
simple piece and convert the specifications of the plan into a series of commands
that enable the CNC to produce the piece.
Students who reach the pass grade (at least 60% of the points available) and
choose the "Pursue a Verified Certificate" option will receive a pass certificate.

are approaching the end of the course, you will find the final exam. This will
consist of a series of exercises that cover the whole course and it
represents 30% of the final grade. To pass the course and receive a
certificate you must obtain a grade of at least 60%.

Discussion Forum Guidelines

The discussion forum is the main means by which you communicate with the course
team and other students. We hope to help create a sense of community and serve
as a useful resource for your learning. The discussion forum will be moderated by
the professor and the course team on a daily basis.
We encourage collaboration and help, but please avoid posting questions and
blatant answers. Please follow these collaboration guidelines. The staff will be
proactive to delete posts and answers in the forum that cross the line, and accounts
can also be disabled and the progress of those found cheating can be deleted.
Given a problem, you can discuss the general way to approach it or give/receive
tips to help someone reach the correct answer. However, you should find detailed
solutions yourself.
You are not allowed to take someone else's solution and simply copy the answers to
your solution, or take someone else’s formula or code and run it yourself to obtain
the final answer.
It is not allowed to publish the answers of the task before the deadline.

that may be very easy for you, can be more challenging for someone else. Our aim
is to build a proactive community.

The forum can become difficult to use if there are too many conversation
threads, and the best discussions occur when everybody participates in the
same conversation. Before asking, use the search function by clicking on the

Write clearly
We know that the language may be a second language for many of you but correct
grammar helps others to answer. Avoid CAPITAL LETTERS, abbreviations of words
and excessive punctuation!!!!
