habilidades y no contenido.
gráficas, colorear, recortar, pegar, ordenar o armar.
4

Luis and his mother are in their house talking in the kitchen. It is 9:00 p.m. and he
wants to go to sleep, he looks at his mother and says:
9
( ) Good night!
( ) Good evening!
( ) Good morning!
( ) Good afternoon!

a.m. to 5:00 p.m., but he has some troubles to pay his daily expenses. Yesterday
afternoon, Benji could find a second job as a waiter at the Expressway

Mexican Teams Takes Down Costa Rican Teams
The Red Devils took a giant step towards the CONCACAF Champions Cup
finals with a pristine 2-0 defeat of 2005 champions, Saprissa of Costa
Rica. The two goals were created by strike ace Carlos Esquivel, who beat
goalkeeper Jose Francisco Porras in the 22nd and 62nd minutes of the
game. Toluca will visit Costa Rica next week for the next leg of the
aggregate goals series March 29th, where the Costa Rican side, owned by Jorge
Vergara (who also owns Chivas) must win by at least three goals to overcome the
Devils’ lead.
Like fellow Mexicans, Toluca, Club America took the first leg of their aggregate goals
semifinals series with Costa Rica’s Alajuelense 2-1, though they did it as visitors.
Though the local team had more possessions, the Eagles capitalized on their
chances, via Irenio Soares and Kleber Boas in the 64th and 76th minutes. The
decisive game will be March 29th at Azteca Stadium in Mexico.

second in the _______________ of the game. ( 2 points)

Based on the reading “The Modern Olympic Games” match the information in
Column A with the corresponding facts in Column B. Write the letter in the
parentheses. The answers can be used one, several or no time. (6 points)
The modern Olympic Games, first held in Athens, Greece in 1896 were the
result of efforts by Baron Pierre de Cubertin, a French educator, to promote
interest in education and culture, also to foster better international understanding
through the universal medium of youth’s love of athletics. His source of inspiration
for the Olympic Games was the ancient Greek Olympic Games, most notable of
the four Panhellenic celebrations. The first such recorded festival was held in 776
BC, the date from which the Greeks began to keep their calendar by Olympiads,
or four year spans between the games. Baron de Cubertin enlisted 9 nations to
send athletes to the first modern Olympics in 1896, now more than 100 nations
compete. Winter Olympic Games were started in 1924.
The first Olympiad is said to have consisted merely of a 200-yard foot race
near the small city of Olympia, but the games gained in scope and became
demonstration of national pride. The games were combined with patriotic,
religious, and authentic festivals held every four years. Only Greek citizens –
amateurs- were permitted to participate. Winners received laurel, wild olive, and
palm wreaths and were accorded many special privileges. Under the Roman
Emperors, the games deteriorated into professional carnivals and circuses.
Emperor Theodosious banned them in 394 A.D.
