Transcript Reflection

Reflecting on my transcripts from all four years I could say that I have definitely grown.

My freshman year I was a C average student with a GPA of 2.5. My sophomore year I was a

straight A student with a GPA of 4.1. My sophomore year wasn’t as difficult as any other year in

high school because I actually had quite a few classes that I enjoyed. I was very impressed with

myself when I got over a 4.0 because I have been trying ever since I was in middle school. Getting

a 4.1 was my goal for close to 5 years. My junior year I was an A students with a GPA of 3.7.

This year my senior year I get both A’s and B’s with a GPA of 3.6. In the beginning of this school

year it was my goal to graduate with a 4.0 and end the year with a bang. I knew that I could do it

because I did it my sophomore year. Keeping my goal in mind I got an current GPA of 3.6 this last

semester. I am 85 out of 394 in my class rank. At my other school, during my sophomore and

junior year I was higher in my class because my environment was better and I was more focused in

school. Hopefully before I leave I can reach the goal that I have always strived for. My grade went

down during my freshman and this senior year because I switched school due to family issues.

This was a great struggle for me but I tried not to let it effect my school and grades. I currently

have 17 excused absences with only 2 unexcused I am not very proud of how many absences I

have but keeping in mind doctors appointment and sick days I feel like 17 isn’t too high of a

number.. I have never been called in to the office to talk about my absences or tardies so that

should be a good sign. I’m not satisfied with how many absences I have but I am also not

disappointed in myself. I currently have 3 tardies this entire school year reflecting on this I can say

that I have great time management and that I am responsible. Looking back at my transcripts I can

see that I began highschool in a tough spot, my sophomore and junior year I moved to chowchilla

high and my environment was a lot better. I was able to focus on my school work and come home

to a quiet environment to finish homework, and that is why my grades boosted so high after my

freshman year. After my junior year I moved back to Merced and my home life changed

dramatically. My grades can show that I was having a bit more of a struggle though I do try to do

my best. If I was to go back and redo my high school years, I would tell myself to join clubs and

sports to have some extra support from my peers. I would also tell myself to also be less stress and

focus on my school. I wish that I would have went to the library sometimes, after school or even

during a lunch every few days a week. I am proud of the grades I have got in my high school year.

I have never got an F and only one D’s throughout my entire years of highschool. The rest of my

grades are C’s, B’s and mostly A’s. Most people do not and can not get the grades that I get so

sometimes have have to remind myself to not be so hard on myself. Overall I am happy to look

through my transcripts I am not ashamed of my grades or my absences. I believe that my hard

work and dedication that I put into my grades has finally paid off and given me an advantage for

my future choices and career.
