I am honored to have the opportunity to write this letter of recommendation in support of my student,
Samantha Bega. I have known Samantha since the beginning of the school year and I feel very fortunate
to have her as a student in my Advanced Placement English Literature and Composition class at Merced
High School. It has been both my pleasure and privilege to witness her incredible growth and
development, academically and personally and it is with much sincerity that I write this letter on her
behalf.

Throughout the year, Samantha has proven to be an extraordinary young woman. She is intelligent,
genuine, and carries herself with respect and determination. Academically, she has continued to challenge
herself by enrolling in Advanced Placement or Honors classes and proving that she could excel in all of
them. Personally, I have thoroughly enjoyed having Samantha in class. Her outgoing personality and
willingness to share and interact with others is incredible. She offers a lively and insightful opinion to
class discussions, which when paired with that of her classmates, creates an extraordinary atmosphere and
learning experience in the classroom. She is clearly a dedicated student and individual. In addition to
Samantha’s excellent academic accomplishments, she has been actively involved in extra-curricular
activities on campus including clubs and athletics. Samantha has been an active member of the Leo Club
through which she is able to volunteer her time in our community. In addition, she was also a member of
the softball team at one time where she promoted teamwork in her leadership role as captain. Samantha’s
academic achievement, work ethic, community service, and strong personal attributes undoubtedly
account for her continued success.

I recommend Samantha with absolute confidence. She knows the importance of education and the reward
of strong personal character. She is a strong young woman who despite any challenges or adversities she
may face, continues to persevere and be successful. She has set extensive educational and career goals
and I have no doubt that Samantha will continue to rise to any challenge that she faces in college and
beyond. Overall, her excellent qualities will remain with her and continue to make her successful in all of
her future endeavors. It has sincerely been a pleasure for me to know Samantha and be her teacher. I
highly and enthusiastically recommend her.
