Stewardship and Development Thoughts from Judy Held
President, Catholic Foundation of Eastern Montana
Stewardship Thought: “For it is better to suffer for doing good, if that be God’s will, than for doing
evil.” 1 PETER 3:17
The old line says “if you want to make God laugh, tell him your plans.” Many of us are diligent in our
planning, making sure things are progressing smoothly, then disaster strikes, we don’t get the result that
was intended. An unforeseen problem arises. Many times we may respond negatively. Why me? I did
everything right! Here’s the thing – God has a different and better plan in store for you.

Drinking the Spirit
“Drinking the Spirit” is a great opportunity for us to gather as adult Catholics to grow in our Catholic
faith and as a community. Each month we will have a different Catholic topic with a presenter. Questions
and discussions are encouraged. We are each responsible for our own "beverages" and food. This should
be a relaxing and enjoyable way of learning about the Catholic faith. Please plan on joining us, spread the
word, and bring a friend!
Our next Drinking the Spirit will be April 24th at 7 PM at the Tin Cup. Amanda Schrauth from
Lewistown will be our guest speaker. She'll talk about her discernment to become a consecrated virgin
and her walk of faith. Should be a very interesting discussion!

2018 Care and Share Annual Catholic Appeal
If you have already given to the 2018 Care and Share Annual Catholic
Appeal, thank you! If you are still praying about your gift this year or just
haven’t yet returned your gift to our parish, please know that the support of every Catholic household is
important and needed. No gift is too large or too small! The outcome of our support determines the
amount of ministry that our Church can offer each year to help parishes and Catholics throughout our very
large diocese. It takes funding to build and grow our Catholic Church, not just to maintain it. There is no
better investment than in our Lord! Your gift will help our parish meet our goal for 2018. Thank you very
much for your support of Care and Share!
Pope’s Universal Intention
