Technology has changed what we know as education. Classrooms are no
longer isolated or limited, students have the world wide web at their
fingertips.
Summary Statements
★ Technology makes our students responsible for their own learning.
○ The teacher sets the stage then allows the students to explore &
research their topics.
○ Students can effectively communicate and collaborate.
○ Students interact in small groups.
Summary Statements
★ Technology makes education available to students beyond what we ever
dreamt. The resources that we have immediately available to our
students include:
○ Encyclopedias
○ Books
○ Videos
○ Pictures
○ Journals
○ Blogs
Summary Statements
★ Technology has made it easier for educators to reach out to other educators.
○ Networking makes it easier to learn & work with others both near and far
○ Ease of creating & sharing instructional materials for students (i.e.TPT)
○ Tools & Support are also easily accessible
Technology is not to replace teachers, rather to enhance teaching and student learning.
Personal Learning Goals
★ Using a variety of resources and technology to make subject matter accessible
to all of my students regardless of their ability levels, thus creating new
