Course Description: Goals and objectives: MBBS Student at the end of training in Ophthalmology will be able to: · Identify the abnormal conditions of the eye. · Recognize and give medical treatment for those conditions, which are unlikely to cause blindness. · Recognize and give immediate first aid treatment and arrange for immediate referral in those conditions threatening to produce blindness. · Describe the national objectives in the prevention of blindness, and be an active participant in the implementation of National Program for Control and Prevention of Blindness.
