Attaining project management certification and credential from Prince2.

PRINCE2 (acronym for PRojects ON Controlled Environments) initially settled up as UK based
Standard for information projects but now used a methodology for handling majority all types of
projects including Information projects. It was earlier known was PROMPT II (Project Resource
Organization Management Planning Techniques). PROMPT II was founded by The Central
Computer and Telecommunications Agency (CCTA). It is widely accepted in Many European
countries and Australia. (Graham ,2013)

It implementation strategy involves handling projects in more Manageable and controllable way.
PRINCE 2 model define roles and not only jobs. PRINCE 2 comprises of Prince 2 2017
certification which comprises of PRINCE 2 Practitioner and PRINCE2 Agile. Successful PRINCE
2 practitioner are paid around $84000.

Structured approach

PRINCE 2 is a structured approach which is based on the defined seven principles, Seven themes
and Seven processes. The unified implementation of these standards have been able to avoid many
projects from being failed status. A performance survey done by Price Water Coopers in 2007
states "higher-performing projects are significantly more likely to be staffed with certified project
managers"(pg 14). (n.d.)

PRINCE 2 certifies managers to handle complex projects such efficiently as PRINCE 2 as

implementation strategy helps in manageable and measurable of resource usage and the ability to
handle business and risk involved in the project more effectively.

Empower business change

PRINCE 2 supports 7 principle which encompasses with the 7 Themes during the
implementation of PRINCE 2 model in terms of 7 process in any supportive project environment
helps to encompasses. Many organizations prefer PRINCE 2 model due to its flexibility on the
run time basis as the process model can be modified if any change request is received from the
client. (Clark,2015)
 Further, conceptually as well, Prince 2 supports the concept of On time change and
redesign of the working project. The first principle “Continued Business Justification”
encourages the concept of chance management setting the foundation stage of change
management clause in the implementation of the Prince 2 model in any respective project.

Supports cross functional working.

PRINCE 2 supports the concepts of Cross functional working as its themes comprises of defining
Roles which can either be done by one individual or a role lead by group of people as a team.
Further, its support helps Product focus which comprises on focusing on the Requirements laid by
the client which if met is the success factor of the project
