Title/Focus
LEARNING OBJECTIVES
At the end of the lesson students will be able to:
1. Identify traditional clothing worn during La cueca.
2. Produce/ demonstrate the traditional dance of Chile: La cueca.
MATERIALS AND EQUIPMENT

PREPARATION AND LOGISTICAL CONSIDERATIONS
The levels of Spanish are very different between all students. I will give instruction slowly and
use hand gestures. I will clarify when needed.
When sitting at the carpet
I will ask the students if who they are sitting beside is a good decision. If I notice, I will
immediately separate Charlotte & Sara. They tend to goof around during instruction, and then ask
what they are supposed to be doing during activity. I will make sure students are sitting close
(Brody and Rumi) so they can see and hear.
I will explain steps, but also give demonstrations so everyone will understand.
Goal:
When speaking Spanish speak SLOWER
Give wait time for questions, don’t just answer them.

booklets.
