completed:
Students will:
Instructions: 1. Listen to a story
2. Practice new vocabulary
3. Listen to an audio recording
4. Answer the listening grid
Justification: While listening to the story, student’s are being exposed to a different
language with new vocabulary put into different contexts. Before moving to
difficult oral work, this activity provides sustained listening work. According to
Halliwell “It is also possible for all children in a mixed ability class to work with
the same grid quite happily.” (Halliwell, 1992) The outcome of this activity is
for all learners to be able to get used to listening to audio while concentrating
to be able to answer the questions afterwards.
