Construction programme content
• It must be indicative
• It must reflect the proposed sequence of the main construction activities
• It must reflect the proposed tempo of execution of the main construction
activities.
• It must indicate the critical path. The Critical Path is the longest necessary
path through a network of activities when respecting the interdependencies.
• It must be produced with the required software if specified.
• The Client does not want to see the detail at tender stage
• You have to do detail programming to make sure what you present in your
tender is correct and achievable
• Different Clients have different requirements.
• The Client will expect a programme that meets his PC date
• See if you can negotiate sectional completion in tender submission.
• Advise the Client if you think their programme expectation are unrealistic
• Watch out for copy and paste exercises!
• Watch out when you use a template based on another project!
• Programmer and project manager must be on the same page
