ENTRANCE TEST – 2010

The written test for the said programme covers various aspects of education viz.,
teaching aptitude; elementary knowledge and general understanding of philosophical,
sociological and psychological basis of education; processes of children’s learning and
development; context, issues and problems of elementary education; history of education
in India; pedagogy and classroom contexts;; evaluation; elementary statistics; Social
issues related to Education.

The type of questions and their respective weightage is as follows:

ENTRANCE TEST – 2010

The written test covers various aspects related to education viz., elementary
knowledge and general understanding of philosophical and sociological basis of

of education; committees and commissions on education; methods of teaching;
evaluation; elementary statistics, teaching aptitude; social and current issues related to
Education.

The written test of 85 marks will comprise of 85 Multiple-choice questions to assess the

General Intelligence, General Awareness, Reasoning and Aptitude of the candidates.

Programme: Post Graduate Diploma in Educational Management

ENTRANCE TEST - 2010

The written test of 85 marks will comprise the following:

• Question with multiple choice to assess the General

Intelligence and General awareness : 70

• Short answer questions on the issues concerning

Education/Educational Management : 15

Programme: M.Phil. (Education)

ENTRANCE TEST - 2010

The areas covered by the written test (which carries 85 marks) will comprise the
following:

Philosophy and Sociology of Education; Psychology of Education and Child

Development; History of Indian Education; Research methodology and Statistics;
General Contemporary educational issues and topics of current social concern.

The written test will comprise the following three sections:

Section A will consist of multiple choice items carrying 40 marks.

Section B contains short answer type questions carrying 30 marks.

Section C will cover one essay type question carrying 15 marks.
