2.2 Electrical installation

Warning!
Electrical installation, adjustments in the electrical cabinet or at the frequency converter
is only allowed by responsible lift personnel.

For detailed electrical installation see tab electrical drawings.

The power supply connection for the lifting platform is made in the electrical cabinet at the R,
S and T sockets. The connection 230v/400V, 3-phase (or 230V 1-phase with a frequency
converter) is to be made to a separate fuse group with 10-16A fuses. Connect the frame and
cage by means of the multipolar snap coupling. If the lift is equipped with frequency
converter the parameters are factory programmed. Control of the parameters is only needed
when malfunction.

Warning!
Lifts equipped with a frequency converter may not be connected to earthbreaker.

2.3 Door openers type Besam

Adjustment of the Power Swing

To obtain a smooth opening of the door adjust the door opener as below:
- Open all adjustment screws and release spring pressure and pump pressure
completely.
- Give a short opening impulse short cutting the impulse input.
- Adjust the time open with the potentiometer on the PCB.
- Increase the pump pressure until the door starts to move.
- Adjust the high-speed opening, HSO, to required traffic situation. Clockwise
adjustment decreases the speed.
- Low speed opening, LSO, is only necessary to adjust if the door is extremely heavy.
Clockwise adjustment decreases the speed.

If its difficult to obtain a smooth and soft door retardation the opening momentum has to be
decreased, eg the pump pressure.

To adjust door closing speed:

- Adjust the low speed closing, LSC, as low the traffic situation can handle. Adjustment
clockwise decreases the speed.
- Open the valve for high-speed door closing, HSC, (closed from the manufacturer) if
higher closing speed is needed.

To adjust the door opening angle:
Adjust the limit switch by moving it side ways in its guide in the hydraulic unit and lock with
the look screw.
To make an easier adjustment for the future the limit switch can be moved to bottom of the
hydraulic unit. Use which ever of the guides at the motor side of the outgoing axle.

If an electro mechanical stop bar has been installed an extra “lock kick” can be obtained the
last 5 degrees of the closing cycle by adjustment of the screw LK at the hydraulic unit.
This screw is normally locked. Adjust by open the screw 90 degrees and observe the function.
If the screw LK is opened too much the door opening can be delayed.

Connect the impulse sensors.

Control that the installation confirms with requirements from the government.

2.4 Two way emergency communication type Safeline

When the emergency signal button is pressed the Safeline will call after 5-10 seconds if a
telephone number is programmed and the telephone line is connected. When Safeline starts
calling a tone and pulse signals can be heard in the speaker. Adjust the volume with the
potentiometer.

The first two telephone numbers (primary and secondary) are pre-programmed for Safeline.
There has to be a 8-digit alarm code to make the P100 alarm function. The last two telephone
numbers (third and fourth) are pre programmed for talk communication. Talk communication
is that Safeline calls and connect an ordinary telephone call. The receiving person doesn’t
need to confirm the call. This procedure is fully automatic.

To disconnect the call at talk communication the receiving person has to press “9” or “#”
otherwise the line will be occupied for 90 seconds after the call has ended.

To call the lift from an external telephone:

Call the connection telephone number. Safeline will answer automatically after 2 signals.
Disconnect by pressing “9” or “#”.

To call the Safelines if they are serial connected:

The Safelines has to be programmed with different unit numbers.
When calling the Safelines the answer is made after 2 signals. After connection choose
Safeline by pressing the unit number.

Example:
You want to talk with telephone number 3 where more than one phone is connected to the
same telephone line. Call the line telephone number for the telephone group. Wait for the
second signal. Press the digit 3 several times at the desk or mobile phone.
When 2 clear signals are heard from Safeline a talk communication is established to receiver
3. Disconnect by pressing “9” or “#”.

One of the programmed numbers can be connected to a personal pager. The Safeline can be
programmed to give a number code to the personal pager. To make this happened the alarm
type has to be adjusted to “MINICALL”.

If the Safeline doesn’t function check:

- Is there a telephone line?
- Is there power supply? The LED shall flash.
- Is there a telephone number programmed? Check with the hand unit.
- Is there a alarm code programmed? Check with the hand unit.
- Is the correct alarm type programmed? Check with the hand unit.
- Does Safeline call the right telephone number? Make a test call with an ordinary
telephone.
- Has the alarm receiver the right equipment? Check with the alarm company.
