Biodata BJ Habibie
Habibie was born in the town of Pare Pare, South Sulawesi, on June 25, 1936. His father was
Alwi, is an agricultural expert from Gorontalo while the mother named R. A. Tuti Marini
Puspowardojo from Yogyakarta. On May 12, 1962, she married Hasri Ainun Habibie, who
was a friend of her childhood. Both were later blessed with two children, namely Ilham
Akbar Habibie and Thareq Kemal Habibie. Ainun himself eventually died on May 22, 2010
and in the city of Munich, Germany at the age of 72 years.
After graduating education in Aachen, he continued to live there as a research assistant Hans
Ebner. He later married and brought his wife back to Germany. They then settled in the city
Oberforstbach and Habibie worked as an advisor to the automotive companies. In 1965, he
received the degree of Doctor der Ingenieurwissenschafter and continue joint research

Political Career
In 1974, when the Indonesian president, Suharto Habibie recruited to lead the industry
development in Indonesia. Habibie then given jawabatan as CEO of the Nusantara Aircraft
Industry (IPTN). In 1978, Habibie was appointed as Minister of Research and Technology of
Indonesia. He also berpean in the development of the domestic industry. Since it became part

(Golkar). In 1998, he became vice president of Soeharto. But this title lasted only briefly,
