I am privileged to write this letter of support for Amanda Cordero who served as a first grade
student teacher at the Bullock School. As a basic skills teacher, I had the opportunity to work
with Ms. Cordero as she supported the students that I worked with in the first grade classroom.
Ms. Cordero’s dedication to her students, cooperating teacher and pedagogy were exemplary.
When children had a difficult time learning new concepts, Ms. Cordero researched and/or sought
help to provide interventions to support the struggling learner.

Ms. Cordero became an active and involved professional in our building. She volunteered to
supervise the children of parents who attended our family literacy nights. This was especially
commendable because she works in the evenings at another job. There is no doubt in my mind
that Ms. Cordero will blossom into a fantastic teacher who will serve students, staff and her
school community with commitment and diligence. She would be an asset to any district who
hires her.
