Subject: Letter of Recommendation for Amanda Cordero

To Whom It May Concern:

It is my pleasure to recommend Amanda Cordero for a teaching position in your school district.
I’ve served as her Clinical Practice Supervisor in Elementary Education and Special Education at
Rowan University during the 2017 – 2018 school year. Amanda taught in a 1st grade inclusion
class at Dorothy L. Bullock School in Glassboro, NJ. Dorothy L. Bullock School serves a very
ethnically diverse student population in grades 1st – 3rd.

During her placement, Amanda displayed many fine personal and professional qualities. From
the very beginning of her field experience, she was proactive at seeking ways to become an
active member of the learning community. She attended teachers’ meetings, interviewed the
principal and other teachers, and attended professional development opportunities indicating an
interest in the entire spectrum of activities affecting students and their education. She also carried
out her teaching duties in a responsible, and highly-organized manner.
Gradually, Amanda assumed responsibility for all phases of planning and teaching full-time.
Because of the resourcefulness and warm, yet firm demeanor that she brought to the classrooms,
students responded very positively to her lessons. She planned and executed a differentiated
interdisciplinary unit involving literacy and social studies.
The most impressive aspect of Amanda’s teaching is her disposition with students. Amanda was
able to present information on a wide variety of topics while projecting a composed presence and
maintaining a positive classroom environment. It is not easy for clinical practice candidates to
have strong classroom management, but Amanda had excellent classroom management from the
very first day of class. Her ability to work with struggling students is clearly her gift.

I highly recommend Amanda for any teaching position that she is interested in and I would be
more than happy to speak with you further about her teaching skill.

Sincerely,

Eshe Price
