Rectifiers, Clipper, Clamper, Filters, Amplifiers etc.
CO2: Able to understand the construction, operation and characteristics of BJTs, MOSFETs, their biasing techniques and
application as an amplifier.
CO3: Able to understand the fundamentals of operational amplifiers, their linear and non-linear applications.
CO4: Able to understand the functioning of Test and Measuring equipment’s such as Multimeters, CROs and digital
voltmeters.
CO5: Ability to understand the functional elements of a communication system and the technology behind Modulation
techniques existing in real world.

(b) Explain the Amplitude Modulation with the help of time domain representation. The total antenna
current of an AM transmitter is 5A. If the modulation index is 0.6, calculate the antenna current when only
carrier is sent. (CO5)
