Competency 001:
The teacher understands human development processes and applies this knowledge to plan
instruction and ongoing assessment that motivate students and are responsive to their
process. An instructor must insure all lessons are appropriate for the stage of
development that the group of children being taught are in. Over the time an instructor is
teaching a group of children, the children are growing and developing. Because of this,
