Directions: For each type of participation, please assign yourself the number of points that you believe applies to you for that section.
Then, please explain why you believe this is an appropriate number of points for that section. Please type your comments right into the
document (take as much space as you like) and print out the completed version of the evaluation for me. Please DO NOT write in your
answers or email me your evaluation. Print and hand in by the beginning of the last class.
Please note that I will not accept evaluations without the explanation filled in – and will assign a mark of zero (0). Nor will I
accept late or hand written or emailed submissions of this task.
Part One
A. Attendance, Punctuality, and Preparedness (5 points total) (4=80%; 3=60%; 2=40%; 1=20%)
A score of 5 points for this section indicates that you (a) have perfect attendance; (b) have no late entries; and (c) have assignments
(e.g., readings) completed thoughtfully ahead of time for every class.
A score of 6 points for this section indicates that you (a) regularly participate in large group discussions, activities, and exercises; and
(b) do so in a respectful, appropriate, and thoughtful way.
A score of 6 points for this section indicates that you (a) regularly participate in small-group discussions, activities, and exercises; (b)
do so in a respectful, appropriate, and thoughtful way; and (c) engage in active listening while in small group.
A score of 3 points for this section indicates that you (a) utilize office hours to discuss your progress in the course (e.g., ask how you
can do better on the mini-exams and journals, discuss reading strategies, discuss learning accommodations early in the course;
communicate about issues that come up in your service, etc.); and (b) communicate with the instructor about issue related to course
content (e.g., discuss something that struck you during the class; comment on the reading; discuss options for training in community
psychology, etc.)
Part Two
Type a description explaining your overall participation and why you should get the mark you have issued. Be sure to
critically reflect on your contribution to the course, participation, and overall involvement in the learning environment. (40
Points)
While I was in class I did my part to participate in the class discussions. I also did all my work that
was assigned. When I did miss class, I missed out on marks because of the in-class assignments
that I didn’t get to do. Any help that I needed I contacted the teacher or asked my class mates.
