Objective 
I  want  to  better  myself  by  providing  knowledge  of  proper  skills  that students can use to be successful in academics and 
life.  As  a  teacher  I  have  an  amazing  opportunity  to  effect  growth  and change in the lives of many wonderful people.  I 
desire  to  develop  personally,  professionally  and  to  positively  impact  those  around  me.  To  seek  an  elementary  music 
teaching  position  in  a  dynamic  educational  environment  to  implement  programs  throughout  the  district  that  will  better 
facilitate the learning environment.  
 
 
Teaching Experience 
Elementary Music Teacher – Grades K-4 
August 2015-Current  
Calvert Elementary – Aldine ISD 
• Developed and implemented engaging, meaningful lessons for sped, deaf and regular education students. 
• Successfully showcased each grade level every year with a musical program. 
• Collaborated with Art to put on a Fine Arts Night where Choir performs their end of the year Pop Show and 
highlights student artwork that has been created throughout the year with Art led activities.   
• Worked collaboratively with teachers to implement grade level content in lessons for cross-curricular 
connections. 
• Developed a third and fourth grade Choir and maintained at least forty students in the program for 2 
consecutive years during non-contract hours. Calvert Choir performs five times a year and annually performs 
at the Children's Music Festival, hosted by Aldine ISD. We also perform every Christmas for retirement 
homes in the area. 
• Worked with about 800 students in a low socio-economic title 1 school.  
• I have attended the​ ​TMEA (Texas Music Educators Association) conference every year since I’ve began 
teaching. I attend workshops throughout the year to keep my lessons current and fresh. 
 
Elementary Music Teacher – Grades K-5 
August 2014 to 2015 
Graham Elementary (National Blue Ribbon School)– Austin ISD 
• Developed and implemented engaging, meaningful lessons for special and general education students. 
• Successfully showcased a school-wide Christmas revue and an all grade level talent show. 
• Worked collaboratively with teachers to implement grade level content in lessons for cross-curricular 
connections. 
• Developed a fourth and fifth grade Choir that performed 4 times throughout the school year. In December we 
performed a Christmas concert for the residents at Bruckner Villas.  
• Participated in district wide fine arts events and volunteered to judge region auditions.

• Developed and implemented engaging, meaningful lessons for special and general education students. 
• Successfully showcased 3 grade levels with a musical program.

connections. 
• Developed a fourth and fifth grade Choir that performed 4 times throughout the school year. In December we 
performed a Christmas concert for the residents at Emeritus Beckett Meadows.

• Completed all three levels of Kodaly certification (2011), level one of Orff, and have attended the TMEA
