Sul Ref: Board’s policy circular No.97/LML/24/3 dt 27.11.2001. ‘The para 6, Item No. I(e) of the circular under reference reads as charges may be levied for Electrical crossings by State Electricity Board & Central agencies as one time recovery of Rs.12,800/- (way leave agreement for 35 years renewable for another 35 years) It is now clarified that the same charges may be levied for Electrical crossings by State Electricity Boards, Electricity Board’s restructured into State owned companies under Electricity Act,2003 as well Central agencies. The rates levied vide para 6 I(e) would not be applicable where Electricity Boards have been privatised. This issues with the concurrence of the Finance Directorate of the Ministry of Railways.
