ADDENDUM 01

Tenderers are hereby informed of the following amendments, clarification and elaboration to
the tender documentation for the above project

 The bid shall be submitted to the mail address given on the tender document on or
before 04th April 2018, 3.00pm. (late bids will be rejected)
 The tender documents are issued only to the eligible contractors who are capable to do
the construction at the relevant area. Circulating the documents to other contractors
without the knowledge of Employer is illegal.
 The Contractors are advised to produce a day work sheet along with their priced
BOQ.
 The Employer has the right of disqualifying the bidder if they are proved with
following;
o Made misleading or false representation in the forms, statements and
attachments submitted in the proof of the eligibility and qualification
requirements.
o Participated in fraud and corrupt practice.
o Record of poor performance in previous contracts.
 Bidders shall not adjust the items mentioned in the BOQ, but can submit an alternate
proposal if required.
 Minimum duration to complete each house shall be 31 calendar days. This contract
document is circulated to a contractor who is capable to undertake 50 to 100 houses to
construct. (if 50 houses awarded – completion shall be 365 calendar days and if 100
houses awarded - completion shall be 548 calendar days from the date of
awarding)
 Following information shall be provided along with the bid submission;
o Copy of ICTAD Registration book (if have)
o VAT Registration number (if have)
o Legal status
o Business Registration certificate
o List of works performed for past 8 years. (shall submit agreements, payment
certificates)
o Construction program
o Bank statement of the company or proprietor – last 12 months (Current
account, over draft, or savings account)
o Qualifications and experience of the staff of company.

 Performance security of 10% of contract price shall be given
 The amount of Advance payment shall be 25% of the contract sum.
 Advance payment security shall be given once project awarded (The advance
payment will be released after the guarantee is handed to the employer).
 The retention from each payment shall be 10% of the certified work done. The limit
of retention shall be initial total contract price.
 The liquidated damages for the whole of the works shall be 0.5% of contract price per
day.
 Insurance
o The minimum cover for the insurance of the works, Temporary works and of
plant and material is 110% of the Initial contract price.
o The minimum cover for personal injury or death,
 For the contractors workman is 500,000.00 per event
 Contractor’s employees other than workman are 500,000.00 per event.
