Dear Parents of Classroom A,

Our names are Marta Kuzma and Destiney McIntosh. We are both juniors
studying Early Childhood Education at the University of Dayton. Both of us grew
up in the Dayton area. Marta is from Kettering, while I grew up in the West
Dayton area. Marta is a Spanish minor and is getting an additional certificate in
TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages). I am getting an
additional license in ECIS (Early Childhood Intervention Specialist) and a
certificate to teach in urban education. Both of us are passionate about education.
Marta’s hobbies include journaling, listening to music, reading and spending time
with her cat, Rudy. My hobbies include writing, journaling, dancing, and listening
to music.

We are currently working alongside Mrs. Heid and Mrs. Millan to

implement activities and lessons assigned to us in our education class. This
semester we will be visiting this classroom to observe and get to know your
students. We visit the classroom every Tuesday from 8 am – 12 pm, at which time
we participate in the daily routine of group time, small group time, planning time
and meal times to become part of the daily routine and build relationships with
Mrs. Heid, Mrs. Millan, and the children.

We have really enjoyed the time we have been spending in this class and
getting to know your students. Thank you for allowing us to have this time and
learn with them and from them. We are excited for what awaits us this semester!

Estimados Padres,

Nuestros nombres son Marta Kuzma y Destiney McIntosh. Las dos estamos
estudiando Junior Early Childhood Education en la Universidad de Dayton. Ambos
crecimos en el área de Dayton. Marta es de Kettering, mientras crecía en el área de
West Dayton. Marta es menor de edad y está obteniendo un certificado adicional
en TESOL (Enseñanza de inglés ppara hablantes de otros idiomas). Estoy
obteniendo una licencia adicional en ECIS (Especialista en Intervención Temprana
en Infancia) y un certificado para enseñar en educación Urbana. A los dos nos
apasiona la education. Los pasatiempos de Marta incluyen escribir en diario,
escuchar música, leer y pasar tiempo con su gato, Rudy. Mis pasatiempos incluyen
escribir, escribir en diario, bailar y escuchar música.

Actualmente estamos trabajando junto a la Sra. Heid y la Sra. Millan para

implementar las actividades y las lecciones que se nos asignaron en nuestra clase
de educación. Este semestre estaremos visitando ese salon de clases para observer
y conocer a sus estudiantes. Visitamos el salon de clases todos los martes de 8 a.m
a 12 p.m., momento en el cual participamos en la rutina diaria de grupos, grupos
pequeños, planificación y comidas para formar parte de la rutina diaria establecer
relaciones con las profesores y los niños.

Realmente hemos disfrutado el tiempo que hemos estado en esta clase y

conociendo a sus estudiantes. Gracias por permitirnos tener este tiempo y aprender
con ellos y de ellos. Estamos emocionados por lo que nos espera este semestre!
