‘Where remarkable happens every day
April 27, 2018
To Whom It May Concern,
have had the pleasure of working with Ms. Alter during the Spring 2018 semester program at
Franklin Primary. During this time Ms. Alter assumed the teaching responsibilities for a
Kindergarten classroom of 22 students.
Ms. Alter’s greatest strengths are her initiative, poise and ability to organize the classroom. Her
planning and preparations for her lessons demonstrated her understanding of the objective to
be met and the variety of teaching techniques needed to meet those objectives. Ms. Alter used
data to drive instruction and differentiation within her classroom. She is aware of students
learning styles and looks for ways to present instruction in a variety of ways to reach all
students. She has worked to collaborate with theother members of the Kindergarten team to
guide instruction and work together as a team.”
Ms. Alter has used a great deal of technology in the classroom this year, incorporating the use
of a projector and document camera into her daily instruction. She also utilized computers.
within the classroom to enhance instruction and differentiation.
Ms. Alter was very poised and relaxed in the classroom making the students feel very
comfortable and at ease. She was able to maintain a pleasant and structured atmosphere and
handled discipline in a firm, consistent manner. As is typical for student teachers, her authority
was challenged at times, but she was assertive and maintained control to keep the students on
task. The students respected her and she was able to establish a good rapport with the
students.
Ms. Alter is developing more of an understanding of children and the many different needs they
have. Ms. Alter has been punctual, cooperative and professional throughout her student
teaching experience. She is willing to devote the time needed to be a good teacher. She is a
very capable individual and | feel she will be a successful teacher.
Sincerely,
