Grade: 10 Unit/Theme: Teaching Games for Understanding Generic Level: Control

Equipment:
● Pre-test
● Kin Ball (2)
● Folders

Focus of Lesson: Kin Ball

Student Performance Objectives (SPO):

By the end of the lesson, students should be able to:

(P) Strikes the ball with 2 arms in a swinging upwards motion (S1.H1.L1)

(C) Understand the rules/strategies of Kin ball through gameplay(S2.H1.L1)

(A) Involve all teammates in strategy and gameplay through circling up in strategy and have a
role for each person in gameplay (S4.H3.L1)

Teacher Performance Objectives – During the lesson the teacher will:

1. Create groups in a quick fashion


2. Have the students learn the rules through verbal and written instruction
3. Spark student thinking and adjustments by asking them leading questions…”What is the
goal of the strike?” (To get the ball to hit the ground….interesting..)
4. Have an effective scoring process (1 member of each team tallies on the board or ppl
who don’t change serve as scorekeepers)

Special Considerations:
● SAFETY: Make sure boundaries are clearly defined….there can be no running near
gymnastics or climbing wall equipment

TIME SEQUENCE OF LESSON ORGANIZATION REFLECTION

5 min Greeting - T greets students and


presents the day’s focus (Kin balll).

10 Warm up - Kin Volleyball

Like regular volleyball but using the

10 Activity 1 - Kin rally
