1. Product Description
1.1 product overview
XMFamily is specifically developed as an Android mobile monitoring client
software aiming at monitoring devices (carcorder) by our company. It supports
versions above Android 2.3.
1.2 Main functions
Main functions:
 Supports two languages: Chinese and English.
 Support IP automatic configuration of carcorder in LAN.
 Watch videos in real time by mobiles via WIFI and GPRS
 Use direct connection equipment without the transit for third-party servers
 Support the remote playback videos of devices.
 Support the device parameters configuration.
 Support access to IP address.
 Support connection to devices by cloud.
 Support the control of PTZ, up, down, left and right.
 Support scene capture and view.
 Support scene video and watching.

2. Software installation
2.1 access to XMFamily software
Users can get our software through bellowed ways: 1. Free download from specific
websites (later we will provide corresponding download address); 2. Get from devices
distributors.
1.If you get from the device distributors, connect the mobile phone and computer
by data cable, then install directly as following picture:

After clicking “install”, this program will install to your mobile devices as
picture 2.1b:

3. Operating Instruments
3.1 connection
After successfully installed, click the XMFamily icon on the program

list and then enter the program. After entering the main menu interface, choose the
“connection”module, just as picture 3.1a and 3.1b. On the main menu interface, you
can see corresponding operation options, mainly connect, monitor, download,
configure, capture and video. On the connection interface, there are two-Colum: LAN
connection and cloud connection to public network.

3.1.1 Connection to LAN
Choose 【connection to LAN】,and automatic search the carcorder device from the
wifi hotspots of monitoring devices. Choose the route need matching and click
“next”, just as pic3.1.1a; then enter the route password, as pic3.1.1b; at last click
“confirm” to wait for the configuration finish.

3.1.2 Cloud connection to public network
Choose 【cloud connection to public network】and a window with adding ID by serial
numbers, as pic3.1.2a

【All the serial numbers ID can scan to enter by click the icon right of the input
box to invoke the QR code scanning function to enter.】

3.1.3 Devices adding
Long clicking the 【connection】to enter the adding interface and you can chose
the add the previewed device by 【devices searched in LAN】or 【devices history】,
as pic3.1.3a.

3.2 Monitoring
Click【connection】to enter the “preview in-real-time” interface, as pic3.2a:

Capture: In the process of playing, click the “capture” icon to realize capture and
save it to local storage.
Video: in the process of playing, click the “video” icon to realize video and save it
to local storage.
PTZ control: click the preview picture and the direction keys can be shown. Click
them to control the PTZ moving.
Stream switching: click “main stream/Auxiliary stream” to switch the main
stream/Auxiliary stream of pictures in real time.
Lock screen: click the “lock screen” icon and the pictures cannot switch from full
screen to regular screen.

3.3 download
The mobile client can be access to the remote devices and book the video
information from the hardware storage to realize the function of remote replay, as
pic3.3a. Click “search” and then click a certain video to replay and download.

3.4 Configuration
 Click 【 connection 】 and the configuration window can be pop-up, as
pic3.3a;

3.4.1 Video configuration
Choose 【video configuration】and the window like pic3.3.1a can be pop-up, then
you can change parameters such as prerecording, length, record mode and so on.

3.4.2 Picture configuration
Choose 【picture configuration】, and the window as pic3.3.2a can be pop-up. you
can change parameters such as primary / secondary key resolution, frame rate,
definition, audio and so on.

3.4.3 About
Display the software version information.
3.5 Video
After video by the mobile client, the generated video clips directly save to the
mobile memory card. Detailed operation pls see attached:
【Note：if the mobile do not have memory card, then the video function cannot
be normally used.】
 Play video
 Enter to the main menu interface, then choose “video” to enter the
video list interface, as pic3.5a;
 Click a certain video, for example 20130723100936.mp4, then you
can watch the video.

 Delete:
 Enter to the main menu interface, then choose “video” to enter the
video list interface, as pic3.5a;
 Click “edit” icon and choose the video need deleting, aspic3.5b.
Click “delete” icon to delete the video directly.
 Click “cancel” then come back to “local video” list interface.
 Click “back” to come back to the main menu.

3.6 Picture album
The pictures storage in the picture album are captured by the mobile client
when watching the videos. Also, the pictures can be edited like view and bulk delete.
Detailed steps are like 3.5.
3.7 Language switch
When the mobile system changes language, the language of software will
change. For example if the mobile system language changes to English, then the
software language will change to English.
