The Physical Literacy Experience is part of an experiential learning experience for
courses in Physical Education in the School of Human Kinetics and Recreation to
provide opportunities for young children and their parents/guardians to explore
movement activities, and for undergraduate and graduate students to observe and
interact with young children in a movement environment. All those involved with the
program have a background in, or are learning about, physical activity for young
children.

John’s, with organized recreational activities of their choice. From, art to sport to
various recreation activities, the R.E.A.L Program aims to provide eligible children

The Body Image Network of Newfoundland and Labrador is a non-profit
organization that consists of a group of individuals and organizations committed to
promoting a positive social environment through sharing information on body image,
self-esteem, obesity, and disordered eating. The network provides informative
resources for parents, teachers, and caregivers to help them address matters like body-
based harassment. It is important to introduce the message that ‘Every Body Matters’
to children at an early age and to carry it throughout their lives. This approach draws
attention to feeling good about yourself and away from society’s preoccupation with
weight and negative body image.
