Strengths of the lesson:

1. To prepare the students, the teacher did a review on the notion of “less than and
greater than”, and highest and lowest number
2. The teacher obviously followed what were written in her lesson plan. This is a good
indication that the teacher planned her lesson and that she knew what was really going
on in her teaching.
3. Each output of every activity was processed to assure that the activity the students are
ready to do the succeeding activities, still another indication that the teacher really
prepared for her lesson.
4. The teacher had enough practice activities to strengthen the students’ understanding
of the concept of decimal numbers.
5. The assessment activity matches the objective of the lesson.
6. The teacher’s voice is well modulated that it can be heard at the back of the
classroom.
7. The students were grouped so as to facilitate interaction among students during
group work activities.
8. The teacher was moving around to monitor students doing the different tasks.
9. Because the teacher was very well prepared, the whole class was so participative and
behaved.
10. All activities were interesting and crafted the unique way.
Areas for development:
1. You should practice and introduce appropriate language in giving the instructions such
as:
Arrange the numbers with decimals from the highest to the lowest.
Order the following numbers with decimals from the smallest to the biggest.
Sequence the given numbers with decimals from the least to the greatest.
Put the order of the following numbers with decimals from the smallest value to the
highest value.
2. Call the attention of the students to these language expressions and make them say the
expressions.
3. The key words and materials should move up. They should not be written towards the
end of your lesson plan.
4. Change your ASSESSMENT ACTIVITY to something measurable because this is the
part that makes you see whether or not you have achieved your objective. As it is,
there is no way you can measure their learning.
5. You should have a way of recording the scores of the students because you will need
them in computing the average score of the whole class. The average score will tell
you the confidence level you need in relation to the students’ mastery learning of your
lesson. The average score or mean percentage speaks about how far you have achieved
your objective--- the main essence of your teaching the lesson.

Congratulations!
