MSM-400

Powerful stereo microscopes for a wide

range of applications
MSM-400 series

Bright, sharp, three-dimensional images are created

with high resolution and excellent colour fidelity. This
minimises eye fatigue while increasing efficiency and
productivity.

Zoom-factor controls on the MSM-Z414

Infinitely-variable zoom (standard on the MSM-Z414)

enables total magnification of between 10X and 40X
with standard eyepieces. Focussing is with the aid of
ergonomically designed handwheels. These are
positioned on both sides of the microscope, enabling
easy use by both left and right handed people. The
handwheels are used both for fast preliminary focussing
and for subsequent fine adjustment. The MSM-465 also
MSM-412
has a locking mechanism for height adjustment.

The microscopes of the MSM series have an

outstanding price/performance ratio.
Depending on the instrument, magnification can be
adapted to requirements with a user-friendly turret
(MSM-412/-465) or zoom lens system (MSM-Z414).

Focussing grips on the MSM-465

The MSM-412 and MSM-Z414 microscopes also have focussing

grips positioned on both sides, and a locking mechanism for height
adjustment.

The photographs of the objects shown in this brochure were all

taken with a digital camera connected to the MSM-465 via a
camera adapter.
Digital cameras or CCD video cameras can be
connected to the microscopes in order to capture
images. However, they also enable simultaneous
observation of the object using various media.

Good depth of field, large working distance and wide

image field all increase working efficiency. This makes
the MSM-400 series highly suited to carrying out
inspections of electrical components, metal parts,
plants, minerals and biological cell structures.

MSM-Z414 + manipulator (image)

A wide variety of installation options extends the

applications and possibilities. MSM microscopes as
integrated units can, for example, be used for
inspection control on production lines or as teaching
aids in training.

The MSM-412 is a versatile microscope with excellent price-performance ratio. The horizontal turret enables
switching between 10 and 20 times total magnification with 10X eyepieces.
A special mechanism for adjusting the interpupillary distance matches the position of the eyepieces to the distance
between the user’s eyes and so helps optimise operating comfort. The large working distance and the excellent
depth of field enables rapid inspection of organisms, mineral structures, etc.
