dominos delivery system works as follows:-

as soon as you place a order online or by phone,the order goes to the order database in
the system,as the orders being on served for this purpose a queue is used,soon cook gets
notification regarding your order and he starts preparing it.Once he is done preparing
it,your address is fetched from the database and then your order is dispatched with the
invoice..

The process is fairly straightforward. Except for the delivery part the process resembles
most fast food restaurants.

Order arrives
 Online orders are routed to the proper store and become visible in the local
system.
 Phone/In Person orders are entered manually into the local system.
 Local system assigns a unique order number and time stamp for tracking.
 Dominos Tracker updated to show order is being made

Order Processed
 Order is sent to the Make Line electronically. It appears one on or more
monitors above the make line, sorted by oldest order first. Each order contains
a header with the order number, delivery/carryout status and elapsed
time. Individual items (only those needing preparation like puzza, chicken,
etc. Not something like drinks.) a displayed below the header. Each item
contains codes that inform the employee what/how to prepare it.
 Box labels automatically print and are placed on appropriate
boxes/containers. Boxes are lined up above/next to the cutting table oldest
order first.

Order Prepared
Following the make line monitor employees prepare each item. As each one is placed in
the oven the employee "bumps" it from the monitor by pressing a key on its
keyboard. This action starts a computer timer synched with oven speed. The timer
helps managers and driver track the order status at any given point. The Dominos
Tracker us updated to reflects order us baking
Food Bakes
 Food Bakes on a conveyor belt oven(s). The belt moves at a fixed rate which
the computer uses to track elapsed time.

Order Boxed/Cut
 Food is Boxed/Packaged/Cut as it exits the oven. Employees inspect box labels
to ensure food was prepared correctly. Employee verifies food meets quality
standards. Completed orders are placed under food warming shelves to await
delivery/pickup.

Driver Assigned Delivery

 A manager assigns (sometimes drivers self-assign) deliveries. Using a monitor
displaying an area map employees can view deliveries near each other. If the
elapsed time meets company policy a driver may take 2-3 orders.

Order Delivered/Picked Up
 Using their assigned order number drivers identify the proper order. They
double check food against each label to ensure it is correct and place it in hit
bags. They gather any sides, like drinks, specified on the label and bag
them. After gathering the entire order, the driver uses the routing system to
log it out for delivery.
 Driver pay reduced (if applicable) to local sub-minimum rate.
 The system begins timing the driver's delivery trip.
 The Dominos tracker us updated to reflect delivery is on its way.
 Driver delivers order and collects payment (cash) or credit card signature.

Driver Returns to Store.

 Upon returning to the store he logs back into the system to indicating a
completed delivery.
 Driver logs tip if applicable.
 Dominos Tracker updated and customer offered opportunity to provide
feedback.
 Driver returned to inside pay rate.
 Driver relays any customer comments, concern or other issues is necessary to
manager.
The commissaries receive all the raw materials.

The semi-finished products are then shipped from their to adjoining states in refrigerated trucks.

Excellent leveraging of its fleet of trucks.

For example, when wheat comes from Jalandhar to Delhi the trucks have to pass through Chandigarh.

Chandigarh has a large cosmopolitan population, so they opened many stores there.

On the way back to Jalandhar the trucks took back the semifinished products to the stores in
Chandigarh.

The same logic extended to Shimla which is three hour drive away from Chandigarh.

Shimla has a large market, especially in the tourist season.

On the way back to a Delhi, the trucks pick up cheese from Karnal, Haryana, a town on the Delhi-
Chandigarh highway

Step 1

Check for advertised positions in your local area.

Step 2

Complete the online application form and questionnaire and submit your application. You will receive an
automatic email confirming that your application has been sent to the store.

Step 3

Sit tight. Stores need time to review all applications and prepare a short list of candidates for interview.
If your application is not shortlisted, you should receive an email letting you know. However, depending
on the number of applications received, some stores do not automatically notify all applicants. If you
have not heard anything in approximately two weeks then your application is unlikely to have been
shortlisted. You can always try again next time.

Step 4

If you are shortlisted you will be contacted to arrange a suitable interview date and time. Make sure you
are on time for your interview and have completed your Domino’s Pizza research.

Step 5

If you are successful in getting a job at Domino’s Pizza you will be provided with an employee
information pack that contains all the information and forms you need to get started.

Step 6

Complete your preliminary online training. Your manager will provide you with a username and
password for our online training portal. You can also complete this training from home. You will be paid
for the time spent undertaking the training. You are also required to attend a New Employee
Orientation (NEO) training session, which is usually held in a group setting. Your manager will discuss
this with you.

Step 7

Start work! You will be provided with a roster of your upcoming shifts and will be expected to be on
time, every time, for work. Welcome aboard!
