1. The guidelines for the effective implementation of elementary curriculum in the Philippines clearly
stated that the use of Information and Communication Technology in instruction will help develop
learners to be empowered in a rapid changing world (DepEd, 2009). This directive of the department
mandated all the public elementary schools in the country to use learning equipment and materials
which includes computer programs that are educational, interactive and experiential.

As an initial step to operationalizing the competency standards and performance indicators and in
accordance to the result of the NCBTS, Guitnangbayan Elementary School will conduct a 3-day School
based training on January 17, 19, and 26, 2018 to disseminate/discuss the topics in ICT in preparation for
the implementation of the said program.

2. This training aims to:

2.1. Equip teachers’ with desired knowledge, skills and attitudes on Information Communication
Technology in teaching.
2.2 Enhance teachers’ ability in using ICT in teaching- learning process.
2.3 Build good rapport to co-teachers that will result commitment in mentoring and sharing of
teaching practices to improve classroom instruction.

3. The participants to this training are teachers from Kindergarten to Grade Six.

4. Each participant are required to bring their own provisions for snacks and lunch.

5. Attendees are required to bring their conference notebook, laptop and printer for printing outputs.

6. Attached herewith are the program of activities, training design, and the list of working committees for
the smooth flow of the training.

7. Immediate dissemination of this memorandum is desired and cooperation of all is highly expected.
